We were invited to help local people and local authority workers to build relationships across divides and differences. Over a period of six months we were in dialogue with local people and helping them to be in dialogue with each other. We shared dialogue skills and techniques along the way. As we say goodbye we compare baseline data with endpoint data.
77% of people are now confident to facilitate dialogue, an increase of 57%.
85% of people are now confident in dealing with strong feelings, an increase of 37%,
and 76% of people are now comfortable in dialogue where different points of view are expressed, an increase of 25%.
With support people can feel strong and resilient enough to act together on shared problems, and create safer and more peaceful communities.
